ClearCause is developing a SafeTY – Safe Traveling Youth Safety Certification.

So often young Americans go abroad ill-prepared for a different culture, trusting and vulnerable.  Many have never been on an airplane or navigated an airport in America alone, much less abroad.

ClearCause SafeTY certification is being designed to test the readiness of American youth and students to advocate for themselves abroad with checklists and points derived from years of abroad experiences that went south. ClearCause SafeTY Certification will have an emergency contact preparedness element so that parents have permissions to advocate for their child and access; current passports for example.

ClearCause SafeTY certification will review every touch point in the student’s experience:  program, chaperones, credits, costs, housing, geography, area, transportation, money, communications, and emergency plan.  Each element will provide a skill set to inform and protect.  Once a student passes a level they will receive a portion of a medallion, earning full certification medallion status when the entire program is successfully complete.
