In honor of Tyler Hill, 16 years old, who died on a preventable death on a student travel trip to Japan.

Fire Safety Foundation,  In April 2011, a residential fire in Paris took the lives of four exchange students and seriously injured dozens more. Those students could have been spared with the presence of affordable, accessible equipment such as a smoke alarm and a portable fire escape ladder.

Association of Safe International Road Travel ASIRT’s mission is to save lives and minimize crash-related injuries by assisting travelers to manage road risks and inspiring he world to take actions to improve road safety.  Founded by Rochelle Sobel whose son, Aron, died in a fatal bus accident in Turkey with 22 others.

Alyson Kaplan in honor of a 20 year-old college student who was murdered after she was stranded during a storm.

Sara’s Wish Foundation presents safety information, videos and a portable seat belt.  In honor of Sara Schewe, one of seven participants in study abroad, killed in fatal bus accident on a treacherous road in India locals wouldn’t travel at night.

Virginia Amato died along with Sara. In October 2000, her father, John Amato, made a plea to congress for federal involvement.  Today, more than a decade later – no federal oversight or involvement exists.

Cherise Marie Laulhere also died with Sara and Virginia.  Semester at sea / ISE Institute for Shipboard education was found negligent in wrongful death claim of Cherese Mari Laulhere by Pennsylvania court in a March 2011 trial.

International Cruise Victims Association (ICV) represents victims of crime on cruise ships, their families and friends, and individuals concerned about the problems of victimization and disappearances on cruise ships.  In honor of many who have died, gone missing, or been compromised on cruise ships.

Security on Campus has made dramatic impact with Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act – reporting crimes on college and university campuses.  Jeanne Clery was brutally beaten, raped and killed.  Universities and colleges are required to report crimes on campusesin America and abroad that they own or control. It’s a smart idea to review Clery Reports before enrolling.
