When students go abroad, families need an emergency preparedness plan that includes updating passports, emergency travel funds, insurance, healthcare permissions to advocate for their children who are 18 years old and above, and more.

When crimes happen against students abroad, emergency contacts may need investigative help to secure photographs, statements, medical and police reports, legal counsel, funerals, grief counseling or other services.

All too often, families do not have the resources to advocate for their child when they are harmed or killed abroad.
